Trip Itinerary

Morning

Moshi / Arusha – Materuni Village

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha and drive toward Materuni Village, located on the green slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. The journey passes through banana and coffee plantations while your guide shares insights about the Chagga culture and local farming traditions.

Village Walk and Coffee Experience

Upon arrival, meet a local guide and begin a short cultural walk through the village. You will visit a traditional Chagga coffee farm, where locals demonstrate how coffee is grown, dried, roasted, and ground using traditional methods. Guests can even participate in the process before enjoying a fresh cup of organic Kilimanjaro coffee.

Hike to Materuni Waterfalls

Continue with a scenic hike through lush vegetation and small streams toward the magnificent Materuni Waterfalls. The walk takes about 40–45 minutes and offers beautiful views of the surrounding valley and forest.

Once at the waterfall, relax, take photos, or enjoy a refreshing swim in the natural pool beneath the falls.

Afternoon

Local Lunch and Return

After the hike, return to the village where a traditional Chagga lunch will be served. Later, begin the drive back to Moshi or Arusha, arriving in the afternoon.
