Trip Itinerary

DAY 0

Arrival — Nairobi

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi where you will be welcomed by a safari representative and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax after your flight or explore parts of the city. In the evening you will receive a safari briefing covering the upcoming journey through Kenya and Tanzania before enjoying dinner and preparing for the adventure ahead.

DAY 1

Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast depart Nairobi and travel through the scenic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley toward the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or tented camp before heading out for your first afternoon game drive. The Masai Mara is home to lions, elephants, cheetahs, and large herds of wildebeest and zebras roaming the open plains.

DAY 2

Full Day Safari in Masai Mara

Spend a full day exploring the wildlife-rich plains of the Masai Mara. Morning and afternoon game drives offer excellent opportunities to see the Big Five and a wide range of other wildlife. The reserve is especially famous for large lion prides and dramatic predator encounters. Between game drives, relax at your camp while enjoying views of the surrounding savannah landscape.

DAY 3

Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast depart the Masai Mara and travel south toward the Kenya-Tanzania border. After completing border formalities, continue into the legendary Serengeti National Park. Enjoy wildlife viewing along the way as you enter the endless plains that make the Serengeti one of Africa’s most famous safari destinations, known for its large predators and incredible wildlife density.

DAY 4

Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Today is dedicated to exploring the vast Serengeti ecosystem. Morning and afternoon game drives allow you to track lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and large herds of grazing animals. Depending on the season, you may witness part of the Great Migration as thousands of wildebeest and zebras move across the plains in search of fresh grazing.

DAY 5

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast depart the Serengeti and travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy wildlife viewing along the way before arriving at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa, including endangered black rhinos, lions, elephants, and large herds of buffalo.

DAY 6

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Early in the morning descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a spectacular game drive on the crater floor. The area is famous for its diverse wildlife and beautiful scenery, offering excellent chances to see lions, hippos, elephants, and many bird species. After the safari enjoy lunch before driving to Arusha where the journey concludes.
