Trip Itinerary

DAY 1

Arrival — Arusha

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide from Frontline Safari Tanzania and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the lodge and prepare for the exciting adventure ahead.

DAY 2

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and rich wildlife concentration along the Tarangire River. Enjoy a full-day game drive with picnic lunch inside the park, with chances to spot lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and numerous bird species.

In the late afternoon, drive to the Karatu area for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

DAY 3

Karatu – Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy game viewing en route as you enter the endless plains of the Serengeti, home to one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on Earth.

Arrive at your camp or lodge in time for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4

Full Day — Serengeti National Park

Spend a full day exploring the vast Serengeti on morning and afternoon game drives. This park offers exceptional opportunities to see the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros—along with cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, and countless antelope species. Depending on the season, you may also witness the Great Migration of wildebeests and zebras.

Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5

Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive in Serengeti before proceeding toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a spectacular game drive with picnic lunch. The crater hosts one of Africa’s highest densities of wildlife, including the endangered black rhinoceros.

In the late afternoon, ascend to the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

DAY 6

Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive. The park is known for its lush groundwater forest, large baboon troops, flamingos, and diverse birdlife, as well as its famous tree-climbing lions.

After the game drive, return to Arusha for hotel or airport drop-off, marking the end of your Tanzania Big Five Journey with Frontline Safari Tanzania.
